Jane HAM

Source: Crawfordsville Journal Review

Mrs. Jane Ham, wife of Felix Ham, was born March 9, 1857 and departed this life June 8, 1900, aged 43 years 2 months and 20 days. She was married to Felix Ham in the year 1874. To this union 3 children were born: Austin, Loranzo and Alonzo. Jane who was a constant sufferer for many months, bore patiently her sufferings to the end. A greater part of her life was spent in this vicinity and she has so lived that a large circle of friends was ever near. As the days come and go we fully realize the loss of a true and upright life, and her motto was: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." Yet she had never united with any church until a week before her death, when she acknowledged her maker and was baptized by Rev. Whitman in the Lutheran church. While our hearts are filled with sorrow, we are confident that she is at rest with her Savior. She leaves a husband, 3 children, one grandchild, little Vergil, 5 brothers one sister and a large number of friends. The remains were laid to rest in the Lutheran Cemetery by the funeral director, JW Shuler - kbz
